Wyre Forest School and Science Block: Week 13


Progress on site: Science Block: Week 12

Activity/Observations
 Excavation and concreting of foundations, including timber formwork to contain top of concrete pour is continuing.
 Below slab foul drains continuing, ahead of localised concrete foundation pours and water test is in progress.
 Drainage outside of footprint of building has started.
 Shuttering at perimeter of floor slab has started.

Progress on the Wyre Forest School - Week 12

 Continue below ground drainage, tests carried out on each drain run when complete..
 Concreting of retaining wall / floor slab is continuing and preparation for floor slab pours are continuing.
 Steel reinforcing fixing to retaining wall of south wing is in progress.
 Concreting of floor slab to east wing is complete.
 Hydro pool construction is continuing.
 Excavations to lift pit and trampoline pit are complete, damp proof membrane and reinforcement steelwork is in place.
 Excavation for foul drainage at site boundary has started.

Progress on the Weekly Boarding Unit: Week 13

Substructure to slab
 Strike perimeter formwork - ground floor slab complete
 Erect perimeter scaffold ready to erect the timber frame

So what's next?
 Erection of timber frame - the building will start to appear quickly once the prefabricated panels arrive.
