The construction drawings for the new Wyre Forest School are now being completed by the Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and the Landscape Architects. These are in the process of being used for the preparation of tender information by the framework contractors, Speller Metcalfe, ready for a start on site in the new year.
Work continues in consultation with the headteacher and other staff to develop the interior design and fit out for the building. The above computer-generated image shows the proposed atrium which will be at the heart of the Special School, linking together the various wings of the building. It will house a library and seating area, and features a roof of exposed timber trusses.
