Progress this week (week ending 23 March 2014):

Activity/Observations

 Roofing complete, high level work to weatherboard soffits

 Fermacell fire lining and plaster boarding continues to 1st and 2nd floors, includes taping/jointing.

 Boarding, ceiling panels now advanced – complete on 1st floor

 Continue electrical 1st fix – wiring to 1st floor complete

 Internal carpentry 2nd fix, doors (includes sliding doors + stud) and linings, stairs, kitchen units, cupboards, etc.

 Mechanical 1st fix /plumbing + air ducting + lagging

 Floor vinyl to Kitchen

 Commence decorations

 CIS installations - data cabling

 Rendering - knauf Marmorit system

 Coated aluminium gutters and downpipes

 Scaffold drop

 Ground works currently on hold awaiting areas to become available

Progress this week


Activity/Observations

 Timber frame erection is continuing to areas 1 and 2. Roof decking has started to area 1.
 Internal battening to concrete retaining wall is in progress.
 Fitting of bitroc sheathing board is continuing external walls.
 Setting out of electrical boxes is in progress.
 Scaffold erection to area 2 is continuing around perimeter of building.

Science Block - Week 36 (week ending 16 March 2014)

Activity/Observations

 Scaffold erection and dismantling is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Atrium acoustic ceiling is complete and decorated.
 Aluminium profile with concealed gutter is in progress to upper roof area and finishing of single ply roof membrane is being carried out as gutter is completed.
 Finishing to fermacell boards in 1st floor areas are continuing.
 Mechanical 1st fix continuing and 2nd fix has started.
 Electrical 1st fix containment is continuing.
 Acoustic flooring is complete to first floor classroom areas.
 Fitting of window boards are in progress.
 External battening is continuing and fitting of aqua panels are in progress.
 Air tests are complete to Soil and vent pipes and waste pipes branching off. All tested O.K.
 Testing of underground water main is in progress.

Weekly Boarding - Week 36

Progress up to 14 March 2014:



Activity/Observations
 Roofing complete, high level work to weatherboard soffits
 Fermacell fire lining and plaster boarding continues to 1st and 2nd floors, includes taping/jointing.
 Commence suspended perforated/ acoustic ceiling panels on acoustic resient-bar ceiling support grids, 1st floor corridor
 Continue electrical 1st fix
 Pipe lagging to voids and above ceilings
 Internal carpentry 2nd fix, doors and linings
 Mechanical 1st fix /plumbing + air ducting + boilers installed – IPS installations (proprietary WC cubicles now on site)
 CIS installations
 Cedar cladding, weather boarding + support framing
 Commence rendering, weather ideal - knauf Marmorit system

The scaffolding is being gradually dismantled now the roof is complete

Parking bays with dropped kerb

Perforated acoustic ceilings being installed

Louvred cupboard doors installed in the Laundry

The Artificial Grass Pitch is almost complete

The artificial turf has been laid, and inlaid with pitch markings

The floodlights have been erected and the fencing is almost complete

Science Hub Block : Contract week 35

Activity/Observations this week

 Scaffold erection is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Fermacell wall boarding to ground floor classrooms are complete and atrium area is continuing.

 Acoustic insulation to internal walls is advanced.

 Mechanical 1st fix continuing and 2nd fix has started.

 Electrical 1st fix containment is continuing.

 Single ply roofing to upper roof area is fitted, perimeter to do.

 Acoustic flooring is continuing to first floor classroom areas.

 Warmcell insulation to external walls is complete and re sealed.

 External battening has started.

 Air tests being carried out on soil and vent pipes and waste pipes branching off.

So what's next?

 Complete sarket board, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, continue ducting, and mechanical pipe work, 1st fix electrics, fermacell boarding to internal walls, single ply roof coverings, warm cell insulation to external walls, acoustic flooring.

Progress for the week ending 9 March 2014:

Activity/Observations

 Timber frame erection is continuing to areas 1 and 2.
 Service trench being excavated with laying of water main and ducts continuing.
 Distribution of windows into rooms ready for fitting has started.
 Fitting of bitroc sheathing board has started to external walls.

 Battening of walls, window fitting to start during next week.

 Continue scaffold erection, timber frame erection, service trenches and ducts, fitting of bitroc,window fitting and battening.
