The West Midlands Contractor Framework brings together a group of public sector organisations and highly regarded building contractors to successfully deliver together building projects that are well designed, well managed and cost effective.
The Framework was setup by four organisations - Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire Council, West Mercia Police Authority, and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service
Coming into operation in September 2010 the framework will deliver up to £180 million of work over four years. Speller Metcalfe were awarded a place on the framework as one of three contractors, after a rigorous selection process.
Driven by the aims of the Framework to deliver added value through the course of projects, there will be a big emphasis throughout on bringing benefits to Herefordshire and the Ledbury area. To do this we will be looking at how the project can be used as an educational resource and maximising the number of our own directly local employed staff as well as using subcontractors & suppliers that bring direct economic benefits to Ledbury, Herefordshire and our neighbouring counties.
