Activity/Observations

 Fitting of airtightness tapes are almost complete.
 Scaffold erection is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Fitting of insulation, sound-block plasterboard and taping is continuing to ground floor ceiling areas.
 Fitting of window frames is almost complete.
 Fermacell wall boarding to ground floor walls has started.
 Acoustic insulation to internal walls is advanced.
 Sprinkler pipe work is progressing well.
 Mechanical 1st fix including ducting is continuing.
 Electrical 1st fix containment is continuing.
 Perimeter D.P.M. being repaired and vertical slabs being fitted.


So what's next?
 Complete wall sarkeing board, fitting of air leakage tapes, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, continue ducting, and mechanical pipe work, 1st fix electrics, fermacell boarding to internal walls.

Progress on the Special School this week in words and photographs:
Activity/Observations

 Cutting, placing and fixing of timber soleplates for walls are almost complete.
 Erection of perimeter scaffold is continuing.
 Timber frame erection is continuing, fitting of floor cassettes and first floor walls.
 Block work to retaining wall is continuing.
 Block walls and screeds to hydro pool is in progress.


So what's next?
 Continue scaffold erection, fixing of sole plates, timber frame erection, works to hydrotherapy pool.

The retaining wall is made of reinforced blockwork and will be faced with buff brick

The first floor walls being put up around the assembly hall, kitchen and dining areas

Weekly Boarding - Contract Week 30

 Roof tiling, later stages + proprietary flashing to Velux rooflights
 Ongoing acoustic insulation to internal partition walls + insulating quilt to outer walls
 Fermacell fire lining and plaster boarding continues to 1st and 2nd floors
 Electrical 1st fix, containment, baskets, etc
 Sprinkler 1st Fix
 Mechanical 1st fix + air ducting
 Cedar cladding, weather boarding + support framing
 Kerb racing to rear - dwarf retaining wall to rear
 Sprinkler tank fabrication

The major service trench connecting the builings on the site. The sprinkler supply pipe is laid first.

Cellweb base laid for parking spaces - this protects the roots where parking is close to existing trees.

 Floor slab is concreted to perimeter of hydro pool and Water Play Room.

 Timber frame erection is continuing, fitting of floor cassettes and first floor walls started.
 Block work to retaining wall has started.

 Fitting of insulation, sound block plaster board and taping is continuing to ground floor ceiling areas.
 Fitting of window frames are continuing.
 Boarding to walls, ceiling and beams to Plant room are almost complete.
 Sprinkler pipe work is progressing well.
 Ducting continuing.
 Mechanical 1st fix is progressing.
 Electrical 1st fix has started this week.

 Complete t & g sarket board, fitting of air leakage tapes, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, continue ducting, and mechanical pipe work, 1st fix electrics.

 Plaster board linings again mainly to first floor
 Electrical 1st fix, containment, baskets, etc
 Sprinkler 1st Fix
 Mechanical 1st fix + air ducting
 Floor paint applied to Boiler room
 External door and window installations, complete with exception of construction routes
 Warmcell insulation installations now complete
 Powder coated aluminium profiles above external openings/trim to cladding weather boarding
 Kerb racing to rear - dwarf retaining wall to rear

 Scaffold erection is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Fitting of tongued and grooved sarket board is almost complete, section above clerestory windows to do.
 Fitting of insulation, sound-block plaster board and taping is continuing to ground floor ceiling areas.
 Fitting of window frames is continuing.
 Ducting installation continuing.
 Fitting of brackets for pipe work has started.

 Complete sarket board, fitting of air tightness tapes, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, continue ducting, and mechanical pipe work.
