Weekly Boarding Unit - Contract Week 28

Progress this week...

Activity/Observations
 Roof tiling
 Internal partition walls- acoustic insulation
 Floating/acoustic floor to 1st floor rooms, also shower areas
 Fermacell fire lining and plaster boarding mainly to first floor
 Electrical 1st fix, containment, baskets, etc
 Sprinkler 1st Fix
 Mechanical 1st fix + air ducting
 External door and window installations, complete with exception of construction routes
 Warmcell recycled insulation installations to roof
 Powder coated aluminium profiles above external openings
 Air tight membrane + taping all completed
 Kerb racing to rear + install gas main jointing + concrete floor slab poured to pump house/sprinkler tank area
Comments
 INitial Air tightness test result @ 1.8
 Sky lights to be fitted in-conjunction with roof tiling
 Areas of fascia to be completed

Wyre Forest School - Contract Week 27

Looking down on the sensory and soft play room areas
Building works this last week have included...

 Floor slab preparation, including placing of steel reinforcement, is continuing to perimeter of hydrotherapy pool and Water Play Room.
 Cutting, placing and fixing of sole plates are almost complete.
 Erection of perimeter scaffold is as required.
 Timber frame erection is continuing (first phase).
 Access road to Science Block has now been diverted to allow building of a retaining wall by the play area.
 Excavation for retaining wall is in progress.

So what's next?
 Continue floor slab / cantilevered floor around hydro pool, scaffold erection, fixing of sole plates, timber frame erection.



Science Block - Contract Week 27

What has been happening this week?

Activity/Observations

 Fitting of air tightness tapes are almost complete.
 Scaffold erection is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Insulation void to external walls are being constructed and fitting of tongued and grooved sarket board is progressing, main walls complete, clerestory area in progress.
 Fitting of internal battening to walls has started. This forms a service void
 Fitting of insulation, sound block plaster board and taping is continuing to ground floor ceiling areas.
 Fitting of window frames are progressing.
 Brackets fitted for bris soleil sun shading.
 Air ducting about to start.


So what's next?
 Continue timber frame insulation void, fit sarket board, fitting of air leakage tapes, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, start ducting.

Activity/Observations
- Roof battening and tiling continuing
- Lightning conductors being installed
- Internal partition walls, acoustic insulation
- Floating/acoustic floor to 1st floor rooms, also shower areas
- Fire lining and plaster boarding mainly to first floor
- Electrical 1st fix, containment
- Sprinklers 1st Fix
- Mechanical 1st fix
- External door and window installations + airtightness taping, etc
- Warmcell recycled cellulose insulation installations, walls completed, roof warmcell to follow
- Air tight membrane + taping now advanced + air test to take place to check airtightness
- Kerb edging to parking and approach, include line of swale + install gas main housing to building

Artificial Grass Pitch - Progress so far

The floodlit artificial grass paitch on the Habberley Campus is now being constructed. The access paths are being laid as is the formation level for the pitch itself as can be seen from the photographs below.

Week 24: Science Block Progress

Activity/Observations

 Fitting of air tightness tapes are almost complete.
 Setting up and fitting of metal floor ducts are complete.
 Scaffold erection is continuing as required, internal and external.
 Fitting of torch on membrane to lower and upper roof areas are complete.
 Insulation void to external walls are being constructed and fitting of t & g sarket board has started.
 Fitting of internal battening to walls has started.
 Fitting of insulation and sound block plaster board is in progress to ground floor ceiling areas.


So what's next?
 Continue timber frame insulation void, fit t & g sarket board, fitting of air leakage tapes, scaffold erection, continue boarding ceilings, start ducting.

Week 24 : Wyre Forest School (w/e 22 Dec 2013)

Progress this week:

Activity/Observations

 Floor slab preparation, including placing of steel reinforcement, is continuing to perimeter of hydrotherapy pool and Water Play Room. Walls to Water Play Room have been concreted.
 Cutting, placing and fixing of sole plates are continuing.
 Erection of perimeter scaffold is continuing.
 Base coat and binder layers of tarmac are laid to car park and access road areas.
 High spots to concrete floor slab have been addressed.
 Timber frame erection has started this week.


So what's next?
 Continue floor slab / cantilevered floor around hydro pool, scaffold erection, fixing of sole plates, timber frame erection.
